About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to join their team in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. This role is vital for maintaining project timelines and quality standards on site, working closely with the site manager and various trade teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive working environment within the dynamic construction landscape of Scotland , directly contributing to the successful completion of our client's projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of tradespeople and labourers on site to ensure productivity and quality.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and toolbox talks.
- Monitor construction progress against the project schedule, reporting any deviations to the Site Manager.
- Ensure that materials and equipment are available and used efficiently on site.
- Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and specification requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised site, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, techniques, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Good communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction supervision or a trade are advantageous.
