Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their progressive team in Sheffield . This role is instrumental in driving operational excellence by implementing and sustaining lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies across all aspects of the business. You will work collaboratively with various departments to identify process inefficiencies, develop solutions, and manage improvement projects. The hybrid working model ensures you can engage directly with on-site teams while also leveraging remote capabilities for analysis and reporting, fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma tools to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Analyze operational data to identify key areas for process optimization and waste reduction.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
• Train and mentor employees on continuous improvement methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular audits of processes and systems to ensure adherence to established standards and identify further opportunities for enhancement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in continuous improvement , lean manufacturing, or operations management.
• Certified Lean Green Belt or Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt preferred).
• Proven ability to lead and manage improvement projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence change at all levels.
