Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team in Nottingham . This role is central to driving efficiency and excellence across manufacturing operations by implementing and refining improvement methodologies. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to reduce waste, enhance productivity, and improve overall quality through structured problem-solving and process optimization techniques. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing waste.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and tools, such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Poka-Yoke, to optimize production processes.
• Analyze process data, identify root causes of issues, and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
• Develop and implement metrics to track the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and report progress to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality, to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Train and mentor employees on CI methodologies and tools, promoting broader engagement in improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Business Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) in implementing continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote planning with on-site implementation and collaboration.
