About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive process excellence and operational efficiency at their facility in Derby . This role is focused on identifying, implementing, and sustaining improvements across all aspects of manufacturing and business operations. You will leverage your expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to foster a culture of innovation and efficiency. This is a crucial role for an engineer passionate about problem-solving and making a tangible impact on the company's performance in Derbyshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and waste reduction projects.
- Analyze production and operational data to identify root causes of problems and develop effective solutions.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kanban systems.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Train and mentor employees at all levels on continuous improvement methodologies and principles.
- Measure and report on the impact of implemented improvements on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a continuous improvement or process engineering role.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green Belt certification preferred).
- Experience with data analysis tools and process mapping software.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive approach to identifying and implementing operational enhancements.
