About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Continuous Improvement Engineer to enhance operational efficiency at their facility in Nottingham . This role is dedicated to identifying and implementing improvements across manufacturing and business processes using industrial engineering best practices. You will analyze existing systems, develop innovative solutions, and lead change initiatives to drive productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall quality. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and waste reduction.
- Develop and implement strategies using lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Design and optimize production systems, layouts, and material flow.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and ensure sustained improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and ensure buy-in.
- Provide training and coaching to employees on continuous improvement tools and techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a continuous improvement or industrial engineering role.
- Strong understanding of lean principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, VSM) and problem-solving tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and simulation software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
