About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential and commercial construction projects in the Nottingham area and surrounding regions. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered profitably, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong commercial mind, excellent leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of contractual obligations and risk management. You will be instrumental in client liaison, team management, and ensuring that project objectives are met consistently, contributing to a respected construction firm known for its reliability and project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the contractual and commercial aspects of multiple construction projects.
- Oversee project teams, including site managers and quantity surveyors, to ensure project delivery.
- Ensure all projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and to the required quality.
- Develop and implement effective project strategies and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Manage client relationships, attend project meetings, and provide regular progress reports.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, including contractual disputes and financial overruns.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC) and commercial management.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
