About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of construction projects based in or around Liverpool, Merseyside . This senior role requires strong commercial and contractual expertise to ensure projects are delivered profitably and in compliance with all contractual obligations. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, negotiating contracts, mitigating risks, and leading project teams to achieve exceptional outcomes. This is a challenging position for an experienced professional seeking to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
- Lead contract negotiation, procurement, and administration processes.
- Oversee project financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Resolve contractual disputes and claims efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure project delivery meets all legal, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of various forms of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
- Proven ability in commercial management, financial control, and risk mitigation.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Law, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
