Location: Hertfordshire & Essex Region Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum (subject to experience) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a leading and well-established concrete, groundworks and civil engineering contractor operating across Hertfordshire, Essex and the surrounding regions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role would suit a commercially aware and driven Contracts Manager with a strong background in civils and groundworks.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple civils and groundworks projects simultaneously. Oversee project delivery, ensuring programmes, budgets and quality standards are achieved. Lead and support site teams, including Project Managers, Site Managers and Engineers. Ensure all projects comply with health and safety legislation and company procedures. Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers. Monitor project progress and resolve any operational issues that may impact delivery. Review project performance, costs and resource requirements. Contribute to programme planning and project strategy. Attend client and site meetings as required. Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations and company objectives.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the civils and groundworks sector. Strong understanding of concrete structures, groundworks and infrastructure projects. Experience managing multiple live projects and site teams. Excellent organisational and leadership skills. Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience. Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships. Full UK driving licence. Salary

£80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
