We are currently looking for an experienced Control Panel Wireman to join an established engineering team in Derby on an initial 4-month contract.

This is a hands-on panel wiring and build role, working from electrical schematics and drawings to build and wire a range of control and automation panels.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

Building and wiring control and automation panels from electrical drawings Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Fitting trays, backplates and electrical components Wiring and terminating control panels to a high standard Adapting backplates and panels where required Working on a range of panels, from smaller pump/control panels through to more complex BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) panels Following good panel-building practices, including LV/HV separation and heat dissipation

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience as a Control Panel Wireman / Panel Wirer / Panel Builder Strong experience building industrial, machinery or automation panels Confident reading electrical schematics Good mechanical and electrical panel-building skills Experience working with PLCs, SCADA and networking would be advantageous Able to work independently and to a high standard Must be available for an immediate start

£25 per hour LTD Company 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 07:00/07:30 – 16:00 4-month contract Derby location Immediate start
