About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized Control Systems Electrical Engineer to join their technical team in Plymouth, Devon . This role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimisation of automated control systems for industrial applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics and HMI interfaces for industrial control panels.
- Specify and select appropriate sensors, actuators, and drives for automated systems.
- Conduct system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with process engineers and operations teams to understand control system requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and site personnel on control system operation.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering , Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3-7 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text) from manufacturers like Siemens, Rockwell Automation, or Allen-Bradley.
- Experience with SCADA systems and HMI design software.
- Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
