About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Control Systems Electrical Engineer to join their innovative team, with the flexibility of a remote-first working model based out of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire . This pivotal role involves the design, implementation, and optimisation of complex control systems for industrial automation and bespoke machinery. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC/SCADA systems, including ladder logic programming and HMI development.
- Configure and integrate various industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Specify and select electrical components, sensors, actuators, and drives for control systems.
- Perform system testing, debugging, and commissioning, often remotely via VNC or other remote access tools.
- Develop technical documentation, including electrical drawings, operation manuals, and user guides.
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for installed control systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in programming major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA software.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation principles, motor control, and instrumentation.
- Excellent remote diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage workload independently and communicate effectively in a virtual environment.
