Control Systems Engineer - Automation and SCADA

Our client is seeking an innovative Control Systems Engineer to enhance automation and SCADA capabilities in Randburg . Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS).
• Develop and maintain Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for real-time monitoring and control.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
• Develop and implement automation strategies to improve process efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Work with instrumentation engineers to ensure accurate data input into control systems.
• Provide technical support for control system hardware and software issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
• Proficiency with PLC programming software (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000) and SCADA platforms.
• Understanding of instrumentation, sensors, and actuators used in industrial processes.
• Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
