Control Systems Engineer - Industrial Automation

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proficient Control Systems Engineer with a specialization in Industrial Automation to join their team in Liverpool . This role is critical for designing, implementing, and maintaining the automated control systems that ensure the efficient and safe operation of industrial processes within the energy and manufacturing sectors . You will be instrumental in enhancing operational performance, reducing downtime, and driving innovation through cutting-edge automation technologies, working in a hands-on capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems for industrial applications.
• Develop and implement automation strategies to improve process efficiency and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing control systems, identifying and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Specify and select appropriate control system components and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate new automation solutions into existing infrastructure.
• Ensure control systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
• Proficiency with programming software for major PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Experience with SCADA/HMI development and network configuration.
• Solid understanding of industrial instrumentation and process control principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
