About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their technical team, operating with a hybrid model based in Sheffield . This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining the control systems that drive automated processes in various industrial applications. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of these complex systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and commission control systems using PLC, SCADA, and HMI software.
- Program and troubleshoot industrial automation equipment and machinery.
- Integrate new control systems with existing plant infrastructure.
- Perform root cause analysis of control system failures and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including control logic, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
- Provide technical support and training to site personnel on control system operation and maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing control systems in an industrial environment.
- Proficiency with major PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA software.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation principles, sensors, and actuators.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid role, requiring periodic on-site presence in Sheffield .
