About the Role
Our client seeks a skilled Control Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain sophisticated control systems for their oil and gas facilities . This hybrid role offers a mix of remote work and on-site presence, providing flexibility while ensuring hands-on involvement with critical automation and control infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant operations through expert application of control theory and automation technologies. This is a key role in optimizing process performance and ensuring operational integrity in a complex industrial setting, collaborating with operations and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and configure Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Develop and implement control strategies, algorithms, and logic for process automation.
- Troubleshoot and maintain control system hardware and software, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with process engineers to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements in control system design and implementation.
- Manage system upgrades and modifications, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems engineering, ideally within the oil and gas industry .
- Proficiency with major DCS/PLC platforms (e.g., Emerson DeltaV, Siemens PCS 7, Rockwell).
- Strong understanding of process control principles and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
