About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their innovative team in Leeds . This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated control systems for a variety of industrial applications. You will play a crucial part in automating processes, enhancing system efficiency, and ensuring the reliability of complex machinery. Working remotely, you'll collaborate with a talented group of engineers and technicians, contributing to projects that are at the forefront of industrial automation and technology in the West Yorkshire area, utilizing your expertise to shape the future of automated processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
Develop and optimize control algorithms to improve system performance and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems in live production environments.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define control system requirements and specifications.
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including P&IDs, electrical schematics, and functional design specifications.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in control system technology and automation trends.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Proven experience in designing and implementing industrial control systems.
Proficiency with PLC programming software (e.g., Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal).
Experience with SCADA/HMI software (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View).
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, EtherNet/IP).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially for remote troubleshooting.
