About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join their innovative team in Leeds . This role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of automated control systems for a variety of industrial processes. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control system architectures, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Program and commission control systems for various industrial applications, ensuring seamless integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing control systems, minimizing downtime and improving performance.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define system requirements and project specifications.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including P&IDs, logic diagrams, and user manuals.
- Stay updated on advancements in automation technology and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Several years of hands-on experience in designing, programming, and implementing control systems.
- Proficiency with major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA software.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols and networks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex automation challenges.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
