About the Role

Our client, a well-established legal firm in Portsmouth , is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join their busy property department. This is an office-based role, offering direct collaboration with a dedicated team and clients. You will be responsible for managing residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for all parties involved. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of conveyancing procedures, excellent client service skills, and a commitment to accuracy and timely execution. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers.
• Conduct thorough property searches and analyse title deeds and associated documents.
• Draft and issue contracts, transfer deeds, and other necessary legal documentation.
• Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.
• Ensure compliance with CQS protocols and other relevant legal and regulatory standards.
• Handle completion statements, requisitions, and post-completion formalities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or Solicitor specialising in conveyancing.
• In-depth knowledge of the conveyancing process and relevant legislation.
• Strong IT proficiency, particularly with case management systems and digital submission portals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently in an office environment.
• Commitment to providing a high level of professional service.
