The Role We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Conveyor Belt Fitter to install, splice, and maintain industrial flat PVC/PU and plastic modular belting on-site at customer facilities across Central Scotland and beyond. You will be responding to breakdown calls, completing planned maintenance, and installing new belting systems.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out on-site installation, hot press vulcanizing, and mechanical jointing/splicing of PVC/PU and modular conveyor belts.

*

Troubleshoot, track, and repair mechanical belt issues on active customer production lines.

*

Perform site surveys and accurate measuring for new or replacement belt orders.

*

Maintain clear communication with workshop control and site managers to complete jobs safely and efficiently.

*

Participate in on-call breakdown coverage and overtime work as required by production emergencies.

What We’re Looking For

*

Hands-on Experience: Proven track record in conveyor belt fitting, mechanical maintenance, or field service engineering.

*

Technical Skills: Familiarity with belt vulcanizing presses, mechanical fasteners, and hand tools.

*

Clean Driving License: Full UK driving license required to operate the company vehicle across sites.

*

Flexibility: Comfortable with early starts, overtime, and occasional emergency call-outs.

*

Safety First: Strong awareness of health and safety protocols in busy factory and food-grade production environments
