About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a talented and ambitious Corporate Solicitor to join their dynamic legal team in Cardiff . This role is essential for supporting the firm's diverse clientele with high-quality legal services, particularly in corporate finance and transactional work. You will manage a demanding caseload, advise clients on complex legal structures, and contribute significantly to the firm's reputation for excellence in corporate law . This position provides an excellent platform for professional growth and the chance to engage with significant M&A deals and corporate restructuring projects within the Welsh legal market and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures, managing the transaction process from inception to completion.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalise a wide range of corporate agreements, including share purchase agreements and shareholders' agreements.
- Conduct due diligence investigations and prepare comprehensive reports for clients.
- Provide expert advice on company law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage relationships with clients, providing clear, concise, and timely legal counsel.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the corporate department.
Requirements
- Solicitor qualification with a current UK practicing certificate.
- Significant experience (5+ years) in corporate law, with a strong track record in transactional work.
- Proficiency in advising on company formation, reorganisation, and compliance matters.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong client relationship management skills and a commercial mindset.
