Cover Supervisor Opportunity – Hornchurch

Education First is looking for reliable, confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a secondary school in Hornchurch.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who is looking to develop their experience within a secondary school environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of their usual teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities may include:

Supervising pupils across different subjects and year groups

*

Delivering pre-prepared work provided by teaching staff

*

Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment

*

Managing behaviour in line with school policies

*

Supporting pupils with their learning where appropriate

*

Taking attendance and maintaining accurate records

*

Ensuring pupils follow classroom expectations

*

Reporting any concerns or issues to the appropriate member of staff

*

Supporting the wider school team when required

*

Following safeguarding and school procedures

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor or within a secondary school environment would be desirable.
