TeacherActive is proud to be working with an SEMH setting in Bolton, supporting young people across KS3. The setting provides education for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs who may display very challenging behaviour.

The school is looking to take on a Cover Supervisor on a full-time, short-term basis from September to provide fixed-term maternity leave cover.

The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher, deliver pre-planned work and confidently manage challenging behaviour while maintaining clear boundaries and a positive learning environment.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally within an SEMH or SEND setting
• Experience supporting young people who display challenging behaviour
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• A confident and assertive approach
• The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations
• A positive and adaptable attitude
