Invictus Education Trust invites applications for the position of Cover Supervisor at Kinver High School, Dudley, West Midlands. This is a permanent role with an immediate start where applicable.

Annual salary: £22,791–£24,841 (pay award pending)
Actual annual salary: £20,019–£21,819 (pay award pending)

Role purpose

We are seeking an inspirational and ambitious Cover Supervisor who shares our student-centred values and will be an engaging, proactive member of staff dedicated to lifelong learning. The successful candidate will help ensure that every student, regardless of starting point, can achieve success, enjoy school, and participate in wider school life.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and support teaching staff in delivering lessons as required.
• Support students to achieve positive learning outcomes and engage with school life.
• Contribute to ongoing school development and improvement in collaboration with the Trust and national initiatives.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of students in line with school policy.
• Engage in school CPD and professional development opportunities.
• Represent the school positively to maintain a welcoming and supportive environment.

Qualifications and requirements

• Proven ability as an outstanding classroom practitioner with a student-centred approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and a willingness to complete required checks (including enhanced DBS).
• Ability to work with diverse cohorts and promote equal opportunities (Equality Act 2010).
• Willingness to participate in local and Trust-wide professional development.

This role involves regulated activity with children and is subject to an enhanced DBS check and other pre-employment checks, including identity, online, and qualification verification. All required checks will be undertaken in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025 guidance. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and comply with safeguarding policies.
