Job Description

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors for a range of positions, including long-term, short-term, and daily supply bookings across secondary schools in Tamworth and the surrounding areas.
Position: Cover Supervisor Contract/Position Start Date: ASAP Duration: Daily and Long-Term Contract Type: Temporary Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Minimum Rate of Pay: Negotiable Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment Support students across a range of subjects and year groups Ensure students remain on task and engaged with learning Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress, engagement, and behaviour Build positive relationships with students and staff Support the wider school community when required
Experience, Training and Qualifications Relevant qualifications and experience leading classes or supporting secondary-aged students in an educational setting Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Learning Mentor, Sports Coach, or Youth Worker is highly desirable Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential Up-to-date Safeguarding training is required. If you have not completed Safeguarding training within the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide this free of charge To Be Eligible for Any Role with Prospero Teaching, You Must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references To Apply
