Criminal Defence Paralegal

We’re hiring – Post-LPC / SQE / BPTC Criminal Defence Paralegal | West London

ABV Solicitors, one of the UK’s leading criminal defence specialists, is seeking a Post-LPC / SQE / BPTC Paralegal  to join our West London team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience across a diverse and significant criminal caseload, including both legally aided and privately funded work.

The role will include:

• Supporting solicitors with case preparation

• Taking instructions from clients

• Conducting legal research

• Drafting correspondence and legal documents

• Liaising with courts, experts and other third parties

• Assisting with complex and novel legal issues

• Attending police stations where accredited

• General casework and administrative duties

We are looking for someone with a demonstrable interest in criminal law, a strong academic background and, preferably, previous experience within a criminal law firm.

You should be organised, able to work accurately under pressure, use your own initiative and work well as part of a team.

There may also be an opportunity for future progression within the firm for candidates who demonstrate the requisite aptitude and commitment.
