About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Cryptocurrency Exchange Developer to join their dynamic team in Edinburgh . You will be instrumental in building and maintaining the core infrastructure of a high-performance cryptocurrency trading platform. This role requires a strong understanding of financial systems, distributed technologies, and a passion for the rapidly evolving crypto market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize high-frequency trading engines, matching engines, and order management systems.
• Implement secure and scalable APIs for integration with trading bots and third-party services.
• Ensure the security and integrity of user funds and transaction data within the exchange platform.
• Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and manage the exchange infrastructure in production environments.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of new features and system enhancements for the trading platform.

Requirements

• Proven experience in developing financial trading systems or high-volume transaction platforms.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Java, or Go, with an emphasis on performance and concurrency.
• Deep understanding of cryptocurrency markets, trading mechanisms, and blockchain technology.
• Experience with building secure and scalable APIs and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with low-latency trading environments and financial regulations is a plus.
