Cryptocurrency Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a meticulous and experienced Cryptocurrency Security Analyst to safeguard their digital assets and blockchain infrastructure in Coventry . This critical role involves proactively identifying and mitigating security risks associated with cryptocurrency transactions, smart contracts, and associated platforms. You will be integral to maintaining the integrity and security of our client's operations, working within a dedicated security team to stay ahead of evolving threats in the rapidly changing Crypto & Blockchain landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing on blockchain networks, wallets, and exchanges.
• Monitor blockchain transactions and smart contract activity for suspicious patterns and potential exploits.
• Develop and implement security protocols and best practices for cryptocurrency management.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing detailed post-mortem analysis.
• Research emerging security threats and vulnerabilities within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
• Advise on security architecture for new blockchain initiatives and product launches.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, with a specific focus on blockchain and cryptocurrency security .
• Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, consensus mechanisms, and smart contract security.
• Proficiency in security analysis tools and techniques, including network forensics and vulnerability scanning.
• Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
