A Fantastic Opportunity: CT Metering Technician,
As an CT Metering Technician, you will be responsible for delivering all elements of live and dead complex works across all low voltage workstreams, these will include works at substations, link boxes and all relevant distribution assets. Work will be completed in accordance with all technical policies and SPENW’s safe systems of working.
In this role you will undertake independent working tasks such as planning and surveying jobs, while also working closely with a colleague as part of a two-person team to complete CT metering installations and upgrades.
You will be responsible for ensuring all required outputs are delivered to a high customer and client standard, ensuring that SLA’s around delivery timescales are on target. You will work closely with peers, project management, site surveyors, customers, DLO and delivery partners to ensure our work is delivered safe and efficiently.
The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
What we’re looking for
We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences who meet the following criteria:
- Hold operational authorisations enabling you to act as competent person to a level required for the role: minimum Craftsperson.
- Hold LV operations authorisation (planned works code 315) or working towards
- Have knowledge of CT metering with electrical industrial/commercial experience at multi service units
- Understand data testing/commissioning records and all appropriate testing results
- Conversant with all relevant CT wiring and secondary connections
- Hold or willing to work towards: HNC in Electrical Engineering
- Hold a City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification or a recognised Craft Apprenticeship and / or Vocational Training equivalent to NVQ level 3 in electrical engineering.
- Hold external protection testing/experience
- Be focussed on ensuring excellent customer service
- Hold a valid, full UK driving licence
