Curriculum Developer - Early Years Foundation Stage

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and experienced Curriculum Developer to design and refine educational programs for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) . This role, based within a progressive educational organization in Brighton , will focus on developing innovative, play-based learning experiences that foster holistic child development. The successful candidate will work remotely, creating engaging content and resources that align with EYFS frameworks and best practices, ensuring children aged 0-5 receive a high-quality start to their educational journey, shaping future learning pathways through thoughtfully designed educational frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive, engaging, and age-appropriate curriculum content and lesson plans for the Early Years Foundation Stage .
• Ensure all curriculum materials align with the EYFS statutory framework and promote child development across all areas of learning.
• Create a variety of educational resources, activities, and assessment tools suitable for young children.
• Collaborate with early years educators and stakeholders to gather feedback and refine curriculum offerings.
• Research and integrate best practices in early childhood education into the curriculum design process.
• Develop training materials or guides for educators implementing the developed curriculum.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Proven experience in curriculum development, specifically within the EYFS framework .
• Strong understanding of child development principles and pedagogical approaches for young children.
• Excellent writing, communication, and creative design skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting .
