- Taking ownership of customer enquiries and seeing them through to resolution
- Managing more challenging situations when orders or deliveries don’t go to plan, keeping customers informed and working internally to find solutions
- Responding to escalated customer issues in line with agreed procedures
- Keeping colleagues and management updated on customer accounts and escalations
- Developing relationships with key customers to support retention and future growth
- Working closely with External Sales Engineers, supporting them with customer requirements and sales administration
- Developing a good understanding of the company’s ERP system and internal processes
- Supporting the accounts receivable process, including invoice queries and invoices in dispute
- Following up on outstanding payments when required
- Working towards customer service, productivity and quality targets
What we’re looking for

You’ll also need:
- Previous customer service, account management, sales support or similar experience
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to speak directly with customers
- The ability to remain calm, positive and professional in a busy and sometimes pressurised environment
- Confidence dealing with difficult conversations when there are delays or problems to resolve
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage several priorities at once
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach
- The ability to work independently while being part of a busy team
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- A genuine desire to help customers and get things resolved
