This position is for a National role, you can be based all over the UK willing to reach one of our officies.The Customs Compliance Manager (Government & Defence) is a strategic compliance leader responsible for ensuringKuehne+Nagel Government & Defence operations meet the highest standards of customs and trade compliance. Working across bids, customer solutions, operational implementation, audits and training, this role acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership,customers and operational teams. The position plays a critical role in protecting the business, supporting customer growth andstrengthening Kuehne+Nagel reputation as a trusted logistics partner within the defence and government sector. How you create impact Provide expert guidance on customs compliance, export controls, sanctions and trade regulations. Act as the subject matter expert for Government & Defence trade compliance matters. Support commercial bids and new business opportunities by providing compliance expertise during solution design andimplementation. Partner with customers to develop compliant and efficient international trade solutions. Develop and lead self-assessment and audit programmes. Identify risks, drive corrective actions and promote continuous improvement. Design and deliver compliance training programmes. Build compliance awareness across operational and commercial teams. Lead compliance projects and process improvements Profile description: What we would like you to bring Extensive experience in customs and trade compliance. Strong knowledge of export controls, customs regulations, sanctions and trade compliance frameworks. Experience supporting highly regulated industries. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable
Defence or Government sector experience. Knowledge of ITAR, EAR and UK Strategic Export Controls.
