Children with Disabilities Social Worker
North Somerset Council | Weston-super-Mare
Up to £45 per hour | 37 hours per week
Caritas Recruitment is supporting North Somerset Council with the recruitment of experienced Children with Disabilities Social Workers to join a dedicated service supporting children and young people with complex needs and their families.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive local authority that is committed to delivering high-quality services and positive outcomes for children with disabilities.
Key Details
Location: Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Pay Rate: Up to £45 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Travel Support: Up to £100 per week available for candidates who travel to the area for work
Office Requirement: Minimum 2 days per week in the office
Visits: All statutory visits must be completed face-to-face
About the Role
As a Children with Disabilities Social Worker, you will:
Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities
Complete assessments, care planning, and reviews
Work closely with families and multi-agency partners
Undertake safeguarding and child protection work where required
Contribute to achieving positive outcomes for children and their families
Prepare reports and attend relevant meetings, including court proceedings where necessary
About You
To be considered, you will need:
Social Work England registration
Experience within Children's Social Care
Previous Children with Disabilities experience
Strong assessment and safeguarding skills
Experience of multi-agency working
Excellent report writing and case management skills
A commitment to delivering positive outcomes for children and families
