Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and networks for suspicious activities and potential security breaches.
• Investigate and analyse security alerts, escalating incidents as necessary and contributing to response efforts.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Support the deployment and management of security tools, such as antivirus, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Provide guidance and support to end-users on security best practices and incident reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in a cyber security or IT security role.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and threat intelligence.
• Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common cybersecurity threats.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, or endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions is a plus.
