About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join their security operations team in Oxford . You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats, ensuring the protection of the company's digital assets and sensitive information. This role requires a strong understanding of security principles, threat landscapes, and incident response procedures. You will play a vital role in maintaining a secure and resilient IT environment for our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM tools to detect and investigate potential security incidents.
- Respond to security incidents, performing forensic analysis and containment measures.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Provide security awareness training to employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a Cyber Security Analyst or similar role.
- Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, and cryptography.
- Experience with vulnerability management and incident response processes.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CEH are a plus.
