Cyber Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to provide expert advice and guidance on security best practices, working on a contractual basis. You will assess client security postures, identify risks, and recommend tailored solutions to enhance their overall protection against cyber threats. This role requires a deep understanding of various security domains and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. You will operate in a hybrid capacity, balancing client-facing engagements with remote analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments and audits for client organisations.
• Develop and present strategic security recommendations and implementation plans.
• Advise on compliance requirements, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations.
• Assist clients in developing and maturing their incident response capabilities.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate security technologies and solutions.
• Provide expert guidance on security architecture and secure development practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Consultant or in a similar advisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats, and mitigation strategies.
• Experience with various security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
• Excellent client-facing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are a strong asset.
