About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and proactive Cyber Security Consultant to join their advisory team based in Birmingham . This role is critical in providing expert guidance and strategic solutions to clients to enhance their security posture and mitigate cyber risks. You will engage directly with clients, understanding their unique challenges, and developing tailored security frameworks and implementation plans. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough security audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments for a diverse client base.
• Develop and present strategic security recommendations and roadmaps tailored to client needs.
• Advise clients on compliance requirements, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations.
• Assist clients in the design and implementation of security controls, including network security, data protection, and access management.
• Provide ongoing support and expertise to clients post-implementation, ensuring sustained security effectiveness.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and methodologies within the consultancy practice.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Consultant or in a similar advisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of various security domains, including threat intelligence, incident response, cryptography, and security architecture.
• Familiarity with common security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, OSCP, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
