Cyber Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a range of security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Configure, manage, and monitor security systems to detect and prevent threats.
• Respond to security incidents, investigate their root cause, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, including configuration guides and incident response playbooks.
• Automate security processes and tasks using scripting languages to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with system administrators and developers to ensure security best practices are followed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a cyber security engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure) and container security.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
