Cyber Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Implement and maintain security monitoring and logging systems (e.g., SIEM ).
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing remediation actions.
• Develop and automate security processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct security assessments of new and existing systems and applications.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security into the SDLC.
• Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a Cyber Security Engineer role or similar.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with cloud security concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure) and securing cloud environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards like NIST or ISO 27001.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
