Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and web application firewalls.
- Implement and manage security monitoring tools and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
- Develop and refine security protocols and procedures to ensure system and data integrity.
- Respond to and investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
- Provide technical guidance and support on security best practices to other IT teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in cyber security engineering or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization security (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus.
