About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Specialist to join their expanding IT security team in Sheffield . Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security logs and alerts to detect and respond to potential cyber threats.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
• Contribute to the development and updating of security policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in cyber security , IT security, or a related technical role.
• Understanding of common cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
• Basic knowledge of networking protocols and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
