About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join their security team in Liverpool . You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats and incidents to protect the company's digital assets. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure IT environment. We are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced security operations center (SOC) environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and logs from various systems using SIEM tools.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing forensic analysis as needed.
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or a similar role.
- Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and management tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CEH are a plus.
