Cybersecurity Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scanning to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing timely and effective resolution.
• Collaborate with IT operations to ensure secure system configurations and deployments.
• Perform threat modeling and analysis to proactively identify potential security vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or a similar technical security role.
• Proficiency with various security technologies and tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, cloud security, and secure coding practices.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CCNA Security are a plus.
• Excellent technical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills.
