Job Description
Our client are looking for a motivated and logically minded Data Analyst to join their growing team. Sitting at the intersection of finance, technology, and process improvement, this is a brand-new, high-impact role created to support our evolving systems infrastructure.
You will work directly alongside our lead technical finance professionals, taking ownership of core data management, data quality, and system upkeep, while quickly expanding into advanced BI dashboarding, bespoke reporting, and automation projects.
If you love technical problem-solving, have a passion for code and data, but want a career distinct from pure software engineering or traditional finance, this role offers a fantastic platform for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop code-based reports within bespoke systems and build BI dashboards (Power BI / Tableau) to support business decision-making.
- Maintain internal finance systems, ensure high standards of data quality and control, and handle ongoing data cleaning and management.
- Identify manual processes and deliver automated solutions using code, AI tools, and modern software.
- Assist with the rollout and onboarding of new software and system upgrades across the department.
- Document operational workflows, data pipelines, and system processes clearly.
Who We Are Looking For
We are ideally seeking someone in the early stages of their technical career - such as a recent graduate, a junior analyst, or someone with 1 to 1.5 years of experience in a systems support or service desk role looking to step up into a meatier analytical position.
- Strong foundational knowledge of SQL is essential. You should be comfortable discussing and applying technical concepts to solve real-world problems.
- A degree in Mathematics, Computing, Physics, or a related logical/STEM discipline is highly desirable. You must possess strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine interest in coding, automation, and emerging AI technologies. Experience or exposure to Python, Power BI, Tableau, Business Central, or eFront is a plus (eFront and bespoke system exposure are particularly desirable).
- Excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and a collaborative approach to working within a close-knit team.
This is a truly unique opportunity within a fantastic business. If you are looking to take the next step in your career -
