Data Centre Technician

Duties

• - Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Ethernet cabling to ensure reliable connectivity.
• - Conduct routine inspections of data center equipment using schematics and technical diagrams to identify potential issues before they escalated.
• - Perform repairs and maintenance on computer hardware, telecommunication systems, and electrical components to minimize downtime.
• - Manage CCTV surveillance systems to monitor security and operational activities within the data center environment.
• - Assist with network installation projects involving VoIP systems, Ethernet cabling, and telecommunication setups using hand tools and specialized equipment.
• - Support electrical work related to power distribution units (PDUs), backup generators, and other critical infrastructure components.
• - Document all maintenance activities, system configurations, and repairs accurately to ensure compliance with operational standards.
