We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Data Analyst with strong Microsoft Azure expertise and active SC Clearance to join a high-profile programme delivering critical data capabilities within a secure environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale data initiatives, helping design, build and optimise modern Azure-based data solutions while providing actionable insights to key stakeholders.

• Day Rate: Up to £570 per day

• Location: South West London
• Hybrid Working: 2-3 days per week onsite
• Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance is essential

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines within Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and optimise data models, ETL/ELT processes and reporting solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
• Analyse complex datasets and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.
• Ensure data quality, governance and best practices across the data estate.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams within an Agile delivery environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Active SC Clearance (current and transferable).
• Strong experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or hybrid data professional.
• Proven expertise across the Microsoft Azure Data Platform, including:
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure Data Lake
• Azure SQL
• Power BI

Strong SQL and data modelling skills.

Experience building and maintaining cloud-based data solutions.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience within Government, Defence or other secure environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working with modern data architecture and governance frameworks.

Up to £570 per day | Inside IR35 | 6-Month Contract | South West London | Hybrid Working .
