About the Role
As a Data Entry Assistant, you'll be responsible for adding names to children's artwork once it has been scanned and uploaded.
Your work will be incredibly important – correctly naming each piece allows parents to easily identify their child's artwork while ensuring every sheet meets the required standard before going to print.
You'll need to be comfortable working with handwritten names, quickly identifying information and spotting anything that doesn't look quite right.
This is a fast-paced, computer-based role where accuracy and productivity go hand in hand. You'll work towards hourly and daily targets, helping the wider team keep the project running smoothly and on schedule.
You'll generally work independently, but you'll be part of a larger admin team where everyone plays an important role in delivering a successful project.
Key Responsibilities
Adding children's names accurately to scanned artwork
Carefully checking names against the information provided
Interpreting handwritten names accurately
Carrying out detailed quality checks on artwork
Identifying errors, missing information or artwork that isn't suitable for print
Entering information accurately into the content management system
Using computer systems and software to process artwork
Meeting hourly and daily productivity targets
Maintaining a high level of accuracy while working at speed
Following established processes and procedures
Managing repetitive tasks while maintaining concentration
Working independently while contributing to the wider team
Raising any issues or discrepancies with the relevant team member
Helping to keep the overall project on schedule
What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are naturally accurate, computer confident and able to maintain focus throughout the day.
You'll ideally have:
Excellent attention to detail
Strong recognition and checking skills
Good computer literacy
Basic data entry experience
The ability to work confidently with files, information and computer systems
The ability to accurately interpret handwriting
A methodical and organised approach to work
The ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy
A reliable and hardworking attitude
The ability to work independently
Good communication skills
The ability to work well as part of a friendly team
Previous administrative or data entry experience is beneficial but not essential
A willingness to learn – full training will be provided
Accuracy Matters
This role is perfect for someone who naturally spots the little things that others might miss.
You'll be working through large volumes of artwork, so you'll need to stay focused and consistent, even when tasks become repetitive. Getting names right and identifying potential issues before artwork goes to print is essential.
The environment can be busy and high-demand, but you'll be joining a friendly and supportive team where everyone works together towards a common goal.
If you enjoy working to targets, take pride in accurate work and like the satisfaction of knowing you've made a real difference to the end product, this could be a great role for you.
Why Join Us?
You'll become part of a welcoming team working on exciting fundraising projects, with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in data entry, administration, content management and artwork processing.
With £12.71 per hour, weekly pay and overtime available after 45 hours, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for a full-time temporary role with additional hours available.
