Data Integration Architect
Hybrid - 1 day per week in various locations in the South i.e. London, Bristol
£640 per day inside IR35
6 month contract
Active SC clearance
The Role
You'll be responsible for designing and delivering a secure HVR integration capability, ensuring data can be replicated reliably from legacy Oracle environments into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Working closely with architects, engineers and key stakeholders, you'll help establish a production-ready landing zone that forms the foundation for future data migration and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver an HVR-based data integration architecture within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
- Configure and deploy HVR target agents within OCI.
- Support the design of secure OCI landing zones, including storage, databases and networking.
- Analyse data volumes, retention requirements and capacity planning.
- Develop infrastructure, storage and licensing forecasts.Support governance and security approval processes.
- Assist with network connectivity and infrastructure changes.
- Oversee system testing and integration activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with HVR (High Volume Replication) or similar enterprise data replication technologies.
- Proven experience designing cloud-based data integration solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Experience designing data landing zones and ingestion pipelines.
- Knowledge of secure data transfer, encryption and networking principles.
- Experience producing technical architecture documentation (HLDs & LLDs).
- Strong understanding of data storage, lifecycle management and data modelling.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills.
- Experience working within highly regulated or secure environments.
- Active SC Clearance is essential.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within Defence, Government or MOD environments.
- Knowledge of Secure by Design (SbD), DEAB and MOD security governance.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database, OCI Object Storage and OCI Networking.
- Experience with Oracle Data Integration or Oracle AI Data Platform.
- Experience delivering large-scale cloud migration or data transformation programmes.
- Previous experience working alongside defence delivery partners
