About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Data Project Manager to lead critical data-focused initiatives within their organisation in Oxford . This role involves managing projects related to data warehousing, business intelligence, data analytics, and data governance. You will be instrumental in ensuring that data projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the strategic objectives for data utilisation and insights. We seek a proactive individual with a strong understanding of data lifecycle management and a proven ability to manage complex data projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of data-centric projects, including data integration, analytics, and BI solutions.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria for data initiatives.
- Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and utilisation.
- Oversee data governance implementation and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Facilitate communication between data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams.
- Manage risks and issues specific to data projects, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data project management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and data security best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
