About the Role

In this crucial role, you will advise clients on navigating the complex landscape of data privacy regulations, including GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act. You will be instrumental in helping organisations achieve and maintain compliance, manage data breaches, and develop robust data protection strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on compliance with GDPR, the UK Data Protection Act, and other privacy regulations.
• Develop and review data protection policies, procedures, and privacy notices.
• Assist clients in responding to data subject rights requests and managing data breaches.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and advise on data transfer mechanisms.
• Provide training and guidance to clients on data privacy best practices.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' experience in data protection or privacy law.
• In-depth knowledge of GDPR and UK data protection legislation.
• Experience advising on data processing agreements, consent management, and data security.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal requirements clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, supporting clients in the Cambridge area.
