Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on compliance with GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and other privacy laws.
• Develop and review data protection policies, procedures, and privacy notices.
• Manage data breach incidents, including notification to regulatory authorities and affected individuals.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and advise on data processing agreements.
• Provide training and guidance to clients on data protection best practices.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in data protection and privacy law.
• In-depth knowledge of GDPR, Schrems II, and international data transfer mechanisms.
• Experience in advising on data privacy aspects of commercial transactions and technology projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, risk-based advice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with clients and internal teams.
